When you enter the virtual reality labs, look around. On the right you will find a hologram of Tracy - use the console located to the right to get more information. You can check other holograms in the room - near Tracy's hologram you may find her backup: Sally the nanny.

You can also check the hub on the desk, which can be found to the right of "Tracy". Also, check a handheld console lying on a closed container. It's located on the left of Tracy's hologram.

Finally, head to the opened door just behind Sally's hologram, leading to the side room. Use the device on the left to connect to the cloud - Richard will try to locate James. It turns out that he is in the SkyWhale M688.

When the guarding bots appear, you take control of one of them for a moment - aim at your metal friend and take care of him (LMB). Leave the room.

Now approach the next door leading to the side room (a stream of orange light illuminates it all the time). Open it using the console to the right of the door. Go inside and use the terminal in front of you. Richard will be able to listen to Dr. Kurtz's speech (you will get A New Mankind achievement). You can also (earlier!) check the devices located on left and right to read the messages from Kurtz to Valerie and from Valerie to Kurtz.

After you get with Lydia to the next corridor, follow her towards the door marked "B 08". Along the way, approach the multi-monitor station on the right and use the terminal to find out more interesting things. Then, move towards the door at which Lydia stands. Talk with her - choose the options as you like.

Then, walk on the platform with the containers, check them as long as you find the one you're looking for - Richard and Lydia want to get on board of SkyWhale marked "M688".

The container you are looking for is located deep inside the corridor, on the left, between two others. Opposite the container you will find a terminal that can be used (it is possible to switch between two levels). When you locate the right container, get inside.
