SOMA is powered by the newest installment of the creator's engine, HPL Engine 3 and uses advanced visual effects, especially those related to lightning and physics of the game. Fortunately, the game does not require a powerful configuration in order to function properly - this guide was prepared on a machine equipped with an Intel i5-3470 processor, 16GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 750ti. This configuration allowed me to run the game smoothly, in the highest visual settings, in the Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. There wasn't a single case of framerate drop during the whole playthrough. The game does not require constant Internet connection.
