The snakes in Sea of Thieves are the third objective of quests commissioned by the Merchant Alliance faction. They occur randomly on different islands. They are caught very differently from chickens and pigs, but we will also need a basket to get them. If we get too close to snakes, they will spit or bite us with venom.
