Shrewd - boss description
Shrewd is a teleporting archer known from the first game. He's rather capable in melee too, so don't underestimate him.
His weak spot is his head. He's also suspectible to damage over time, such as bleeding, burning and poison.
Moveset
- Volley - Shrewd raises his bow and starts firing at the players' current location. He can fire up to four arrows.
- Double shot - holds his bow horizontally and fires two very fast arrows.
- Melee - Shrewd can get off the high ground and appear on the arena, where the players are. He'll start teleporting and spinning, striking with his bow up to four times.
- Reinforcements - occasionally, the tree in the middle of the arena will start shedding seeds. The seeds will spawn enemies if you don't destroy them.
How to fight Shrewd?
Shrewd spends most of the battle teleporting to one of the three elevated spots, from which he starts shooting. His shots are easy to dodge, but you can also hide behind the huge tree in the center of the arena.
If you see the tree shedding seeds, destroy them immediately. If you don't, you'll have to fight his ranged reinforcements. Killing them could give you some well-needed ammo though.
When the boss starts attacking in melee, dodge behind his back and try to shoot him in the head once. Repeat until he stops spinning.
If you don't know where the boss has teleported to, you can ping him beforehand. The resulting red marker will show you where he's gone.
