One of the game modes is the story mode, aside from free-play mode and challenge mode. The beginning of the game has the form of a simple tutorial. Your main task here to is pay off the 275,000 EUR loan and your initial capital is 50,000 EUR. You start with a set of basic machines: tractor with a trailer, a combine, a pickup and several simple machines and overlays.

The machines you start with aren't anything special, but as you progress you will receive some free ones and will be able to purchase more from the store.

During the game, you will develop your farm and you will try new types of fieldwork. Try to follow the missions instructions carefully: if you overdo it (when the mission, for instance, tells you to purchase 5 chicken and you overdo it by getting 20 of them), you might run out of funds for further development of your farm. Remember that you need to repair and refuel your machines - and that it costs money as well.

However, completing the story mode is not mandatory. Not everyone likes to play in accordance to rules and simple missions, causing your farm to look different than you would want to. You must complete most of the tedious and time-consuming work on your own, as you can't hire employees in the early phase of the game. You should also keep in mind that in the story mode you will be increasing your player level. This determines access to new machines and devices, artificially slowing the game down.

Hint: observe the map. You will sometimes be rewarded for progressing in the game and/or for completing side missions: you can get a field that you worked on, or a new piece of equipment for free.
