Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide, walkthrough

Last update: 09 March 2020

This page contains a list of all achievements available in Divinity: Original Sin II. The following list applies to the trophies available in the Definitive Edition of the game, which is the one that has been released on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. There are 50 achievements to acquire in total (42 bronze trophies, 5 silver trophies, 3 gold trophies) and an additional platinum trophy available only for the users of the PlayStation 4. The aforementioned list also depicts the requirements for acquiring each trophy and has a description that will present the easiest way of unlocking the relevant achievement.

Important - The standard version of Divinity: Original Sin II, which is available on the PC, also offers the opportunity to gain further achievements, in addition to the trophies described in this chapter. In total, there are 97 of them for you to acquire.

A Million of Waves

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You have to reach Reaper's Coast.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. You will receive the achievement shortly after reaching this location, that is after leaving The Hall of Echoes from chapter three. For more information, go to the description of the quest Powerful Awakening, which you can find in our game guide.

A Nest on High

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You have to tame Featherfall.

Description: You can get this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. Featherfall can be found in Stonegarden. You will need two talents in order to tame him - Persuasion and Pet Pal (this talent is used to talk with animals).

A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You have to free Sahelia without fighting the Lone Wolves.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. Sahelia is freed as part of the Elven Seer quest, but this is only possible if she has not been lost in chapter two.

The trophy forces you to do more than just release Sahelia. You must avoid getting into a fight with the Lone Wolves, and you can do this by relying on teleportation. For more information, see the description of the mentioned quest in our game guide. To be safe, it is worth creating an additional save file before the start of the quest and then just after reaching Sahelia.

Anathema

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: Acquire the Anathema.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during your playthrough, but it does require some preparation. In the fourth chapter of the campaign (Reaper's Coast), you have to take on the task titled All in the Family, which is given to you by Tarquin.

After you have advanced to the sixth act of the campaign (Arx), you must complete the quest A King Reborn. This task has described in the Remaining Quests | Arx section of our guide. The reward for its completion is, among others, the Anathema.

Important - Tarquin must not die in chapter 4 since then the new quest will not be available in chapter 6 and you will not be able to acquire the Anathema.

Andabata

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must become the champion of the Driftwood Arena.

Description: You acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. Visit the Driftwood Arena and defeat all of the enemies. Tips on how to prevail can be found in our description of the aforementioned area on the page named The Driftwood Arena, as well as in the chapter titled Tough fights and bosses.

Angel and Demon

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: Share Divinity with The Doctor.

Description: Sharing Divinity with The Doctor is one of the available endings of Divinity: Original Sin II. It is best to create a separate save file before proceeding to the final battle. This will allow you to explore the different endings (and unlock several achievements) without repeating the entire campaign.

At the Cutting Edge

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You have to craft the Swornbreaker.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fifth chapter - Nameless Isle. To create the weapon called Swornbreaker, three elements are required, and they can be found in different parts of the world. These necessary items are located in the Blackpits Mine in Reaper's Coast (tablet), in the Sallow Man's war room on the Nameless Isle (shaft), and at the Academy Arena on the Nameless Isle (blade). After getting all of the fragments, you must combine them with one another.

Important - This achievement requires you to make the weapon yourself. A completed Swornbreaker can be obtained through the quest "The Vault of Linder Kemm" in the sixth chapter of the game, but getting it this way will not unlock the trophy.

Back to School

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must reach the Academy.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fifth chapter - Nameless Isle. You can enter the academy soon after reaching the island, specifically as part of the quest titled The Nameless Isle. If necessary, have a look at the description of the mentioned task, which can be found in a separate chapter of our guide.

Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must help free Mari from the Voidwoken.

Description: You can get this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. Saving Mari from the Voidwoken is related to the quest "They Shall Not Pass", the description of which can be found in a separate chapter of our guide.

After taking on this quest, in addition to getting rid of the Voidwoken, you must ensure that Mari survives (draw the attention of the opponents you will encounter as quickly as possible). Her death will make it impossible for you to acquire this trophy. It is best to save the game before starting the rescue operation.

Cat Person

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 - Appendix - Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must rescue Arhu.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the sixth chapter - Arx. The chance to free Lord Arhu appears while completing the quest titled The Vault Of Linder Kemm (its complete description can be found in a separate chapter of the guide).

You will come across the room where Arhu is located while exploring the vault. To release him, you will require the Spirit Vision ability. Upon use, the three ghosts that shackle Arhu will appear. Absorb their energy during your conversations with each of them.

Cat's Out of the Bag!

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 - Appendix - Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must escort the Black Cat out of Fort Joy.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the second chapter - Fort Joy. You will find the Black Cat soon after reaching the fort. The whole process of (safely) escorting the cat to The Hollow Marshes has been described in the chapter of our game guide titled How to save the Black Cat in Fort Joy?. You will find various hints there, detailing what hazards await your animal companion and what "rules" apply to him.

Important - If the cat dies or disappears (gets lost), so does your chance to unlock this achievement. It is best to create a separate save file just after finding the cat.

Chosen

Trophy type: Silver

Requirements: You must convince all of your party members that they should let you ascend.

Description: You can make a decision regarding the ascension while you are playing through the fifth chapter of the campaign - Nameless Isle. You can convince the remaining team members by relying on Persuasion. There is also an alternative method - you can persuade a person if there is Love Interest between you.

Cur of Low Degree

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must kill Andras - the necromantic dog.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. Andras, the necromantic dog, is located in the Stonegarden Graveyard (he is guarding one of the crypts). Kill him to get the trophy.

Death in the Pot

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must serve Garvan the tainted stew.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. It is associated with the Aggressive Takeover quest, which has been described in a separate chapter of our guide.

While completing this quest, you will have the possibility of poisoning Garvan. You can purchase stew from Lorvik and use any Void-tainted Fish to poison it. This will grant you a Tainted Stew that you can give to Garvan.

Important - Do not provoke Garvan and get into a fight, because it will prevent you from winning the trophy.

Deicide

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must kill a God.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fifth chapter - Nameless Isle. It is linked to the task named Arena of the One (its detailed description can be found in a separate chapter of our guide) which revolves around fighting against undead variations of the characters who have not joined your group.

During the escape from the arena, you will encounter the Embodiments of two gods. You must refuse to kneel so that the battle with the Embodiment of your god and the copies of your group will begin. Winning this battle will award you the trophy.

Deity

Trophy type: Platinum

Requirements: Acquire all other trophies.

Description: This trophy is only available in the PS4 version of the game.

Divine

Trophy type: Silver

Requirements: You must complete the game in Tactician Mode.

Description: The Tactician Mode is the equivalent of a high difficulty level. See the Basics and Tips & Tricks sections of our guide to prepare for the challenges of the adventure. In addition, it is good to finish the game on one of the lower difficulty levels first, in order to get to know the game better. Do not change the difficulty level during the playthrough, as it will make you miss the chance to unlock this trophy.

Doctor: Heal Thyself

Trophy type: Silver - Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 - Appendix - Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide

Trophy type: Silver

Requirements: You must defeat Adramahlihk.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. The opportunity to defeat Adramahlihk appears after starting the quest titled Doctor's Orders, the description of which is located in a separate chapter of our guide. The demon Adramahlihk hides in the body of the Doctor in the Black House (shown in the above picture) and after uncovering him, your group will face a very challenging battle.

Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 - Appendix - Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must answer all of Crispin's questions correctly.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. You can find Crispin by unearthing a grave in Reaper's Coast. The exact location is shown in the picture above and it is a part of the quest titled An Existential Crisis, the description of which can be found in a separate chapter of our guide.

As part of completing this task, you must find three fragments of the book "The Essence of Existence". This will allow you to determine the correct answers to the three questions that Crispin will ask you. These answers are:

  1. State that there is no greater purpose than to banish life's tumult in the pursuit of pleasure.
  2. State that our individual freedoms are limited only by physical limitations. We are free to act within a defined set of rules.
  3. Reply that morality is a ricer steered by the impulses of men and women, Gods and Goddesses, chance and nature.

Just to be safe, it is a good idea to save your game before taking the challenge, as you will only get the trophy if you do not make a mistake in any of the answers.

Expert

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must unlock your second Source Point slot.

Description: Source Points are unique resources that allow you to cast more powerful spells. At the beginning, your characters will have access only to a single Source Point. Some of the abilities will, therefore, be unavailable, and after each use of a Source Point, you will have to regenerate.

The solution to this problem is advancing far enough in the main plot, specifically, starting the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. The next Source Point sockets can be unlocked in the following quests:

  1. A Generous Offer - you can acquire an additional slot from Ryker
  2. A Hunter of Wicked Things - you can acquire an additional slot from Jahan
  3. Window of Opportunity - you can acquire an additional slot from Hannag
  4. The Elven Seer - you can acquire an additional slot from Sahelia

To fulfil the requirements of the trophy in question you must encounter only one of the characters mentioned above. We also recommend that you take a look at the section titled How to get Source Points? where we have described the basic requirements for using Source Points, among other useful details.

For Honour

Trophy type: Gold

Requirements: You must complete the game in Honour Mode.

Description: The Honour Mode is the equivalent of a very high difficulty level. Be sure to finish the game on one of the lower difficulty levels first, in order to prepare for this challenge. Do not change the difficulty level during the game, as that will make you miss the chance to unlock this trophy.

Gladiator

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must become the champion of the Fort Joy Arena.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the second chapter - Fort Joy. Visit the Arena of Fort Joy and defeat all of the enemies there. Tips on how to prevail can be found in the chapter titled Tough fights and bosses.

Godwoken

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must complete the game in Classic Mode.

Description: The Classic Mode is the equivalent of a normal difficulty level. See the Basics and Tips & Tricks sections to prepare for the challenges of the adventure. Do not change the difficulty level during the playthrough, as it will make you miss the chance to unlock this trophy.

Hammered

Trophy type: Silver

Requirements: You must force Dallis to retreat from combat in Fort Joy.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the second chapter - Fort Joy. More specifically, during a fight in which both Bishop Alexander and Dallis the Hammer will be present. Trophy type: Bronze - Trophy guide in Divinity Original Sin 2 - Appendix - Divinity Original Sin 2 Guide

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must receive Dorotya's kiss.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the fourth chapter - Reaper's Coast. You will encounter Dorotya in the Undertavern (shown in the picture above) as part of the quest titled A Web of Desire. Its detailed description can be found in a separate chapter of our guide.

During the meeting with Dorotya, she will ask the hero about his achievements and ask him to prove his own worth. This could be, e.g. saving Mari in the "They shall not pass" quest. When you manage to impress her, she will be granted a vision. At some point, she will ask you to finish it. After that, she will propose a kiss. If you agree, Dorotya will suggest a meeting in a more secluded place.

Disconnect the group member who talked to Dorotya from the rest of the party and follow the woman. Once you reach her location of choice, it will turn out that Dorotya is a spider. If you allow her to kiss your character anyway, you will receive the Spider Kiss talent and the achievement in question.

Master

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must unlock your third Source Point slot.

The next Source Point slots can be unlocked in the following quests:

For the needs of the trophy in question, you must encounter two of the characters mentioned above (three Source Point sockets are the maximum). Sails That Glance in the Sun

Description: You can acquire this trophy while playing through the third chapter - Lady Vengeance. Dallis' attack on the ship Lady Vengeance takes place in the final part of the task Lady o' War - if necessary, go to its description which can be found in our game guide.

For the purposes of this achievement, you must refrain from murdering all of the enemies who serve Dallis and wait for Malady to cast her spell. Supreme Sacrifice

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must purge Rivellon of all Source.

Description: Purging Rivellon of all Source is one of the available endings of Divinity: Original Sin II. It is best to create a separate save file before proceeding to the final battle. This will allow you to explore the different endings (and unlock several achievements) without repeating the entire campaign.

Swashbuckler

Trophy type: Bronze

Requirements: You must escape Dallis' siege on the Lady Vengeance after killing every minion.

Description: You can acquire this trophy during the third chapter - Lady Vengeance. Dallis' attack on the ship Lady Vengeance takes place in the final part of the task Lady o' War - if necessary, go to its description which can be found in our game guide.

For the purposes of this achievement, you must kill all of the Dallis' subordinates before Malady casts her spell and the party escapes from the ship. This is difficult to accomplish because you will only have about 5 turns to complete this task. It is easier to achieve when playing at a lower difficulty level and aggressively attacking her servants. The important information is that this achievement is incompatible with the Seascape trophy. It is best to save the game just before Dallis' attack so that you can play out the battle in two different ways and aim to acquire both achievements.

Start the operation as soon as it becomes possible. The surgery must be carried out with a character with correspondingly high attributes of Finesse and Intelligence. Additionally, during the operation, you have to choose the correct options of behavior. Here are the correct choices:

  1. Ask Swann to help keep her steady.
  2. Select a pair of delicate tweezers and gently try to remove the maggot,
  3. Slowly close up the wound.

To be safe, it is a good idea to create a separate save file before the surgery, as Natalie's death will deny you the possibility of winning the trophy.
