Types of languages

In No Man's Sky, you can encounter 3 different races, each of them speaking a different language. Knowing their language will make it easier for you to talk to representatives of a given race. This way, you will be able to receive new missions from them.

1. Korvax is a highly intellectual race of machines from the planet Korvax Prime. Their language is approximately 770 words.

1. Vy'keen are a warrior race of humanoid reptiles originating from the planet Dyn'daragh. Their language is over 800 words.

1. Gek is a race of humanoid amphibians that specializes in trade. Their language is approximately 780 words.

Learning alien languages

You can learn alien languages in several ways:

1. when talking to a representative of each race, you can ask for a translation of 1 word out of several categories. Then interact with this character again and try to say something in their language. If your interlocutor is satisfied with the conversation, you will receive a gift, units or nanites, and you will increase your reputation with a given race;

1. when interacting with monoliths or knowledge stones. You can find these objects using the visor. Planetary maps, available for purchase at all space stations, will reveal the locations of these buildings.

In the Milestones tab, you will find information about your relationship with a given race, the number of words learned, missions completed and visited systems belonging to a particular race.

Atlas

Atlas is an artificial intelligence that you will encounter while completing the The Atlas Path mission. The language has over 200 words and you will learn it by solving monolith puzzles.
