It allows you to easily create your own weapons - by using crafting you can affect the statistics of the created weapon and also change its name. On this page of our guide you will find all the information about smithing - how to start crafting, how to get materials for crafting or how to regenerate stamina.

How do I get crafting materials?

Crafting materials can be obtained in various ways. First of all, it is worth to smelt unused weapons into crafting materials - you can do this in the Smelt tab. Of course, the weapon will be destroyed. However, you will receive some crafting materials from it. You need one piece of Charcoal for each weapon forging process - you can buy it from merchants or refine two pieces of Hardwood into one piece of Charcoal. In addition, crafting materials can be purchased from vendors and obtained from defeated opponents (primarily from caravans).

In the Refine tab you can convert the acquired materials into other crafting materials. - Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord: Smithing - crafting, obtaining materials - Basics - Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord Guide

You can refine your acquired crafting materials into new ones. It all depends on what you need to make your chosen weapon. This is done in the Refine tab.

How to create new items?

New items in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord are created by using the Forge tab. In the right side of the screen you will notice the currently available weapons you may craft, as well as individual weapon components. When you select your weapon of choice, you will see the required materials (and those you own) at the bottom of the screen.

Before creating a weapon, you can change its size (Size slider) - it affects the weapon's stats, but the bigger the weapon, the harder it is to forge. The difficulty of making a particular weapon causes that not all pieces can be successfully forged during one crafting process - and this will reduce the statistics of the item you want to create. Crafting starts when you press the green Forge button - at the end you can also name your weapon.

How to discover new items that can be crafted?

You will gain access to new weapons in crafting by creating new items. Each created item contributes to the discovery of new weapons that can be forged. In other words, the more weapons you create, the more high level weapons you may discover.

How to regenerate stamina?

You can check the level of stamina when you hover the cursor on a portrait of your character. - Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord: Smithing - crafting, obtaining materials - Basics - Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord Guide
You can check the level of stamina when you hover the cursor on a portrait of your character.

Every action performed at local Smith reduces your hero's stamina points - if there are too few points, then you won't be able to craft and forge new items. You can check these points by hovering the cursor on a character's portrait. To regenerate stamina you need to relax in the city by choosing the Wait here for some time option. Only resting in the city regenerates the protagonist's stamina - traveling through the world does not affect the stamina points.
