Weapon description

1. Don't get discouraged by this weapon's small size. When used by a skilled hunter, this weapon can be really deadly. In my opinion, this is one of the best starting weapons in Monster Hunter World.
2. It offers a lot of quick combos, great mobility and fluent gameplay. Some of the combos let you jump into air and grab a monster which gives you a chance to deal additional damage. Also, while you are midair, you can use your shield and deal stun damage (to a monster's head) and stun a beast.
3. Its shield isn't as effective as the one that you get, e.g. with Lance but it lets you use items or shoot with a slingshot while you are hiding behind it. Your character won't sheathe a sword, unlike with other weapons.
4. A slingshot has a few functions. Can inflict various status effects, you can place a net in it etc. Combine this with ability to shoot it instantly during a fight and you will see a lot of interesting options.

For whom is this weapon?

1. This weapon is a great choice for all players. It is satisfying to use, fast and offers a lot of options. The option to use items during fights cannot be stressed enough.
2. You won't deal as much damage as with heavy weapons but you have better mobility and more universal combos.
3. A sword has a great attack speed. This weapon is great for inflicting various status effects.
4. A great solo weapon (great mobility, ability to use items fast) but it also works when fighting in a team (inflicting status effects, stunning enemies).

Conclusion: Probably the best starting weapon in Monster Hunter World. Universal and powerful on every level.

Useful combos

1. A basic combo, easy to learn.

2. A more powerful combo that deals rather good damage.

3. This combo can stun enemies.

4. A successful attack lets you jump into air. You can use Jumping Slash and grab a monster or you can use Falling Bash - aim at a head and deal stun damage.
