Attributes:

  • Crippling Sting: Manticores deal 80% of their standard damage, but avoid retaliation. The attack lowers living creatures' movement points by 4 for 2 turns. Cooldown time: 3 turns.
  • Corroding Venom: Manticores lower the enemy's defense against physical attacks by 10 points. Lasts for: 1 turn.
  • Disciple of Malassa: gives 10% resistance to Dark Magic, but also lowers the resistance to Light Magic by 10%. Healing spells deal damage to enemy Dungeon units.
  • Living: this unit can be healed and revived. It's resistant to morale-influencing effects.

Scorpicore

  • Paralyzing Sting: Scorpicore deals 100% of its normal damage to a chosen enemy and avoid retaliation. The attack lower living creatures' movement points by 6 and initiative by 10 for 2 turns. Cooldown time: 3 turns.
  • Dissolving Venom: Scorpicore lower the enemy's physical damage resistance by 15 points. Lasts for: 1 turn.
  • Disciple of Malassa: gives 10% resistance to Dark Magic, but also lowers the resistance to Light Magic by 10%. Healing spells deal damage to enemy Dungeon units.
  • Living: this unit can be healed and revived. It's resistant to morale-influencing effects.

Description:

Both Manticores and Scorpicores are great support units in the Dungeon army. They have high initiative and often are the first to make a move. Thanks to their big mobility, enhanced with haste they can get to enemy ranged units as fast as in the first turn. However their role doesn't end just there. The Sting can slow down even the fastest enemy units, while Scorpicores lower enemy initiative by 10 points - that might let your units eliminate him before they can make a move. The Venom of Manticores and Chimeras lowers the enemy defence, additionally increasing the effectiveness of your other units. Attacking with your flying units and afterwards with Assassins or Shades can destroy even the most resistant enemy squad in one turn.
