If you can't or don't want to participate in the Dungeons of the day in Lost Ark, you can send a crew on an expedition to do it for you. On this page, you will learn what Special Missions in Stronghold are, the conditions for dispatch missions, and the rewards you can expect.
In your Stronghold, you can send ships on expeditions. Initially, these are standard missions that are rewarded with various rewards but mainly Seals. Special Missions are also available. You unlock them when you complete other Dungeon challenges: Guardian Raid, Chaos Dungeon, or Cube.
These missions cost about 3k of Stronghold energy, and the rewards depend on which expedition you choose. You can get the same rewards as for defeating a specific boss (of course, choose the right option from the expedition list). However, these rewards will be lesser than those you get for fighting the boss yourself. An additional factor affecting rewards is Adaptation - it depends on the ship and crew you choose for a given mission (that is, depending on what crew is available).
A Special Mission dispatch counts as visiting the Dungeon - if you send two crews on expeditions to the Chaos Dungeon, you can no longer participate in them yourself! Therefore use this option to get the rewards only if you don't have the time/willingness to do it yourself.
If you send a crew on the expedition on a Special Mission, you still get a Rest Bonus - so if you're not attending events today, be sure to dispatch a mission!
