Like a Dragon: Ishin features extensive crafting mechanics, although getting required Seals may be problematic. This page of our guide explains how to unlock new Seals which can be used to enhance weapons and gear.
Looting Seals
Seals are a category of items needed to enhance your gear.
The most straightforward way to get them is winning random encounters in Kyo - defeated enemies can drop Seals as loot, which you must then pick up.
Defeating Golden Sneaks grants you the largest chance of finding a Seal. These enemies travel around Kyo alone. Attack these golden foes whenever you can (they can be slightly more challenging than regular thugs).
Disassembling items
Another way to get seals is to dismantle items at the blacksmith. As a reminder, you'll first meet the blacksmith at Kurosane Smithing during Chapter 3 - Kurogane Smithing (Crafting).
Select the Disassemble option. It lets you dismantle items, such as weapons or Gear. If the dismantled item had a Seal in it, you'll recover the Seal to be used later.
You can also craft the cheapest weapons or Gear, hoping one of them will come with a Seal. If it does, you can immediately Disassemble it.
