Graphics settings

In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, you can change the following graphics settings:

  1. Resolution - determines the number of displayed pixels. The higher the resolution, the more detailed the graphics. However, this can reduce the frame rate.
  2. Refresh rate - number of frames displayed on the screen per one second. Has impact on the frame rate. Higher refresh rate means that the image is more fluid.
  3. Vertical Sync - synchronization of frames between your monitor and the graphic card. Turn it on and the screen won't load right in front of your eyes. However, this can reduce the frame rate.
  4. Aspect Ratio - determines the screen's proportions.
  5. Texture Quality - determines the quality of in-game textures. The higher the setting, the more computing power you will need.
  6. Enhanced Graphics - additional graphical improvements. This option can reduce the frame rate.
  7. FSAA - anti-aliasing option. Turn this option off to increase the frame rate. However, edges of the objects in the game will become jagged.
  8. Bloom - determines the way in which light appears in the game. Turn this option on to see god rays. This option can lower the frame rate.
  9. Depth of Field - determines the drawing distance of objects. Turn this option off to put less strain on your CPU. However, this will also reduce the distance at which you can see objects.
  10. Motion Blur - the background becomes blurry while you are moving the character.
