Controls

You control the protagonist of the game with keys W/S/A/D (movement: forward, backward, left, right) and with a mouse (view). You can speed up your character by holding the left Shift. All items you collect can be seen by pressing H key. An equipment window will appear and in it you can see all items and notes.

Hints

The game lacks the selection of difficulty level. You can activate hints if you have problem with a riddle. Simply press H key and then open the HINTS tab. There you will find hints. The number of hints is limited. They won't present the precise solution, but they will help you find it.

Don't wander off the path!

If you are interested only in story plot instead of looking for collectibles, stick to the path. If you wander off it, you might get lost. Each important story point in the game is near the path. The game enables you to climb on rocks and mountains. However, by doing it you might become lost and you won't be able to continue the story plot.

Control your saves

Lake Ridden features only automatic saves. You cannot save the game manually. However, Lake Ridden saves the game only when you reach a new location. If you solve a few puzzles but you don't change your location, the game won't save and you will lose your progress.

Turn the lamps on, light up the candles and torches

It's easy to get lost when you're solving complicated riddles. However, you can light candles and torches in the game. If you always do it, you will always know where you were. This will enable you to avoid unnecessary rounds through the same location.

Dialogue options

In Lake Ridden, in some situations, you must select proper dialogue options. These choices don't impact the story of the game. In order to select the dialogue, you must click the number located next to it. You have limited time to decide.
