Character creation in Harry Potter The Hogwarts Mystery is simple and nice. Of course the most important question in which house should you choose.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery begins with a character creation screen. You can choose a gender, skin color, and hairstyle. You'll also choose from a varied set of facial features. Unfortunately, you cannot change the character's body and its clothes (the latter becomes available later). Choice of hairstyles is rather small at the beginning - you can unlock more options by reaching new experience levels. Creating a character in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery means choosing a right face for your wizard or a witch. Fortunately, you can change these elements during the game itself.
Gender and name
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery enables you to create a single hero, a student of the titular school. His gender is chosen at the beginning of the character creation screen. You cannot change it later on.
You'll input the first and the last name of your hero during the first dialogue taking place during the game. The dialogue comes into place shortly after creating a hero and choosing his first wand. You can type in the name for your character or use a random name drawn from the pool.
In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery you can choose from a number of available facial features. You can change the appearance of the face, eyes, nose, and mouth. You have to choose from the available options - you cannot modify the chosen facial feature.
You can choose from nine types of eyes. They differ when it comes to size, shape, and placement. The eye color can be changed at any moment, as it menu is separate from the shape menu. The bottom of the tab contains a list of eye colors available to your hero. You can choose from 5 basic colors.
The next tab is called "brows". You can choose from 3 types of brows. Their only difference is the thickness. Their color is changed along with the hair color.
You can choose from 9 types of noses, differing in size, width, and shape. You'll surely find something that will fit your character.
You can choose from 3 types of lips, differing in shape and thickness, while the bottom of this tab enables you to choose their color.
Hair and Skin Color
In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery you can choose from a number of available hairstyles. At the beginning, you can only choose one of the initial choices; the rest is unlocked when you'll reach the needed experience level. You cannot change the body of your hero - you can only change his skin color.
This menu enables you to choose a hairstyle for your character. The list is short, and most of the remaining hairstyles are unlocked by reaching experience levels. You can change the hairstyle of your hero at any given moment.
Press the button shown in the screenshot above to choose a hair color for your character. You can choose from 8 colors - they cannot be edited in any way.
To change the skin color, click on the icon shown in the screenshot above. You can choose from 8 skin tones.
You'll unlock the ability to change your apparel during the second chapter of your adventure in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. You can wear a top, pants, and various add-ons. Unfortunately, only a single item from each group is available. Rest of the items have to be bought for money or diamonds which are amassed during the gameplay.
You can change your clothes at any moment. Some of them are unlocked only if you reach a certain experience level. If you haven't reached the required level, you can buy the item earlier by spending violet diamonds.
Colors or patterns cannot be changed. The clothes in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery mainly differ through color, rather than style. If you want to wear clothes of a different color, you need to buy them.
