This page of the guide to The Forgotten City contains a description of the storyline task, in which you will discover who Quinctius really is. You'll also talk to Claudia and find some wine hidden in the city. We described what you need to do to push the plot forward, get more tasks and make progress. However, you can stop here and ask around for as much information as you can.
You must complete this mission if you want to get the Liberator and Smooth Talker achievements.
Malleolus, as usual, is in his villa, which he shouldn't leave. He's rehearsing his speech to ensure he wins the election.
You need to talk to him and use the options "So, you're Quinctius?". There's no point in talking any further, you're not going to get anywhere at this point. You don't have to worry about it, though, it's time to move on.
You surely remember a woman crying upstairs in one of the rooms next to the red carpet. This is Claudia, whom you need to talk to. Start with the option "Can we talk?".
The next two questions you need to ask her are:
- Why are you locked in this room?
- How would you like some help getting back at Malleolus?
There are two dialogue options here. They depend on the character's gender you chose:
- "We women have to stick together" - if you play as a woman;
- "I just hate to see such a beautiful woman treated so poorly" - if you play a man.
In the end, Claudia wants wine, which you have to bring her. Accept the task and star searching for the wine.
You can find the wine bottle without Aurelia's help, but it's worth talking to her. She is in charge of the bar at the tavern. You know how to get to it, it's near the temple where you reset the time loops.
When you talk to her, you can get the Smooth Talker achievement. Simply select the dialogue option "And you're as charming as you are beautiful". Another dialogue that you need to use is "Do you have any wine?".
The wine is in an old wooden box. You'll find it in the cave, right behind the tavern. Simply turn left to find the box.
Inside, besides a bottle of wine, you'll find some denarii and arrows.
Return to Claudia
When you return to the villa, go to the crying woman. Start the conversation with "I have that wine you wanted...". She'll give you the letter you need to win a fight with her husband.
Start the conversation with the man by saying "I want you to withdraw from the election". Another good dialogue option is "Because I know you're Quinctius. Your wife gave me your love letter. And Nero wants you dead."
The last dialogue option you have to choose is "Not if you withdraw from the election immediately and release everyone in debt bondage to you." This will end the conversation, and you can move on to continue solving the problems of this city.
