Navyth's quests are about fishing challenges.

You will meet Navyth during chapter 3. The man is fishing near Alstor Slough, although he will change his location with each quest. To be able to complete his challenges you have to master the fishing mechanic and upgrade Noctis' fishing equipment regularly.

Fish: Crag Barramundi

Lure: Sweet Jamming: Custard or Bomber: Ice Bomb.

1500 EXP, Knife T, Tonberry x1

Fishing, Naturally

Complete previous quest.

Fishing spot: River Wennath (Cleigne)

Fish: Cherrycomb Trout

Lure: Whiskers: Crystal

(Note! The fish can be caught at dusk).

 

2000 EXP, Butterfly Edge x1

Navyth's Challenge

Complete previous quest and reach chapter 7.

Fishing spot: The Vesperpool -West Bank (Cleigne)

Fish: Vesper Gar

Lure: Stinker: Malboro or Stinker: Malbodoom

(Note! You should develop fishing up to level 10 and have the best equipment: Dragon's Beard, Death Spin, Nereid)

3000 EXP, Invincible Iron Giant x1

Angler's Nightmare

Complete previous quest.

Fishing spot: Vannath Coast (Galdin Quay)

Fish: Murk Grouper

Lure: Burrower: Abyss Worm

(Note! Fishing level 10 is recommended. Llymlaen Reel from Totomostro is extremely useful as well. You have to be very patient and refrain from pulling the line when the fishing is swimming in the opposite direction)
