After acquiring the first Royal Arms during chapter 2, speak with Takka. This will start a series of quests about fighting specific enemies and acquiring items from their bodies. To start those quests you need to meet certain requirements and move a specified distance away from Takka for the man to give you another mission. Those quests are perfect to unlock new cooking recipes and gather the necessary ingredients.

A Meat Most Magnificent | Complete "Lestallum's Finest".
| Head to Coernix Station - Alstor and accept "Marsh Madness! The Giant Awakens" (rank 4) mission and head to fight the beast. The enemy is vulnerable against Polearms and Fire.
