The Great Scar Bear | Beast Master Hunts Far Cry Primal Guide

Before you approach the bear, set the traps.

Take a look at the cave painting, then follow the bear's tracks. When you reach the small island in the north, set the traps (a lot wood can be found around here) before approaching the people screaming in the distance.

An animal will distract the bear.

Use every moment when the bear is attacking the Izila enemies to deal as much damage as you can while staying safe (but watch out, the beast might suddenly change the direction of attacks). After killing all enemies, Great Scar will notice you. It's the right moment to summon an animal and turn towards the traps. Now call the animal to come to you and try to lure the bear into the traps. Eventually, it will run back to the cave. Collect supplies, heal yourself and your animal, then follow the bear.

After immobilizing the beast, drop a stalactite on its head.

Set at least two traps in the cave, closest to the entrance. You should see the bear shortly after. Lure it into the traps to immobilize it. When Great Scar tries to escape, shoot a stalactite. The falling rock will hurt the bear really badly. Be careful not to stand too close - it applies to your animal as well. Two stalactites and some spears and the bear will run to its den.

Don't let the bear relax, attack as soon as you enter.

The last part of the fight awaits. If the bear starts stretching on a rock, don't stare at the view, just throw spears and shoot arrows. Now prepare for a charge - only changing your position and using an animal may save you. When Great Scar fights your animal, it's your time to strike. The fight should end soon. When the beast collapses, tame it.
