Get Free in Whitetail Mountains Far Cry 5 Guide and Walkthrough

Get Free is one of the main quests in Far Cry 5 available in Whitetail Mountains. You have to reach a hostage and play a special tape that will undo the brainwashing effect on the new potential cult "recruit". Also, you will have to participate in a huge battle with the cultists.
Find Wheaty
This mission can only be started after you meet with the resistance members in the Wolf's Den in Whitetail Mountains. You don't have to search for this hideout. You reach that place automatically after completing The World is Weak main quest. Speak with Eli Palmer.
Head to Grand View Hotel. A few enemies can be found in that location but they aren't numerous. The hostage is in the room 306 located on the highest floor. Approach the tape recorder and insert Eli's tape.
The huge battle in the hotel
This is the most difficult part of the mission - you have to defend yourself in the hotel from incoming cultists. Don't fight in the room with the hostage because Wheaty's death means failure.
Listen to radio transmissions to know where new cultists will appear (e.g. they can attack you from the main road or from the water). Stand on the outside balconies or fight in the main hall if the enemies have managed to get inside the hotel.
The cultists will arrive at the hotel in cars, boats and helicopters. Use machine guns, rocket launchers or turrets placed on the balconies to destroy them. As for a specialist, you should choose Nick, Hurk or any other companion that is great for fights like this one.
During the last phase snipers will appear on the nearby hill - the picture above shows one of them. Don't stand in an open space. Wait for them to get closer and eliminate them with a sniper rifle or you can, e.g. order Nick or Adelaide to bombard the area. Heavy armored cultists will appear during the last phase. Use air raids, machine guns, rocket and grenade launchers or dynamites to eliminate them. Try to kill them from a distance before they enter the hotel.
Kill all the groups to complete the quest (you don't have to liberate the hostage to win).
Rewards for completing this mission: 900 resistance points.
