Vehicles are very helpful in travelling through the world of Far Cry 5. They can be also used in eliminating cultists. Although you don't have to, you can use vehicles provided by the game (e.g. those that you get after starting a new mission) or you can decide to buy some of them. Below you can find a few tips that will help you learn how to quickly and easily get better vehicles in Far Cry 5.
Basic information about the vehicles
- Unlike with weapons, sitting behind a wheel doesn't make a vehicle yours.
- You can add new vehicles to your owned list by buying them or receiving as a reward (e.g. by completing certain missions).
- Reach any of the garages and order a vehicle from those that you already own. You can do that as many times as you want and each delivery is free.
- If you want to get Big Spender trophy (buy vehicles for a total of $50,000) then you should keep buying new vehicles as you make progress in the game. Otherwise, you can limit yourself only to get the best vehicles from a given category (and, what is the most important, those that will be useful to you in the future).
Death Wish
Death Wish is a jeep that can be easily unlocked early in the game. Start the mission with the same name as the vehicle - you can get it in Silver Lake Trailer Park located in the north part of Holland Valley. The jeep is a reward for completing said quest. The Death Wish's strong point is that this vehicle has a turret on its roof. You can use it to, e.g. shoot down planes (a human-specialist should automatically man this turret).
The Widowmaker
The Widowmaker is a truck that can be easily acquired early in the game. Start the mission with the same name as the vehicle - you can get it in Fall's End in Holland Valley. The truck is the reward for completing said quest. This vehicle is armored AND equipped with turrets. Use it to, e.g. destroy enemy convoys without leaving your vehicle or leaning from a window.
Other means of transportation
- If you like to attack cultists while you are piloting planes then you should take a look at the missions connected to Nick Rye in Holland Valley or to have a confrontation with John Seed as fast as possible. Thanks to that you will be able to get one of the jet fighters.
- You don't have to hurry up with buying a boat. This vehicle is only useful in missions during which you have to, e.g. destroy enemy boats in Henbane River region. Cars or planes are definitely more useful during the majority of the missions.
