Fall Guys Guide

Battle Beanale Fall Guys game guide contains beginner's guide & tips, trophy guide, controls/keybinds and system requirements. We answer questions on how to win, crossplay, microtransactions and elimination.

Our unofficial game guide to Fall Guys explains all gameplay mechanics and provides a variety of interesting tricks which will allow you to win matches more often. Our guide is mainly addressed to people who are beginning their adventure with the game for the very first time, but it should also be useful for players who want to improve their current skills.

The major chapter of our guide is a walkthrough of Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout which contains a lot of hints and tips. We have divided our tips into beginner's tips, which address a variety of issues and gameplay mechanics, and tips associated with main types of mini-games, which include, among other things, different obstacle courses, levels with collapsing tiles of floor or arenas on which you have to play football-like matches. Each mini-game has a detailed description of the most important rules and tips on how to win it more often. Other pages of our guide concern such topics as, among other things, an option to change the appearance of characters, types of available in-game currency and best ways of collecting experience points.

In a separate part of our guide we have prepared a FAQ section which contains answers to frequently asked questions. You should read our FAQ section if you have some questions concerning the features of the game, such as, whether Fall Guys offers a crossplay feature, whether the game has microtransactions, and how to attack other players. The whole section is complemented by additional pages with information on controls and system requirements, as well as a trophy guide which will help you unlock all achievements and earn a platinum trophy.

Fall Guys is a crazy arcade game that mainly focuses on a multiplayer gameplay. It combines the characteristic features of battle royale titles with crazy Japanese TV shows. A group of 60 players enter a series of battles in order to reveal who is the very best player. There are various mini-games waiting for the participants, which can involve such activities as avoiding obstacles, competing against other player of your team or co-operating with other team members. The game has a low learning curve and simple mechanics. However, winning competitions requires a good knowledge of the controls and general rules of individual mini-games.

Quick Tips & Beginner's Guide

  1. Practice jumps combined with a forward dive. This combination will help you in many situations, especially in avoiding larger chasms.
  2. You can observe other players to discover new action moves or movement combinations. The Spectate option is always available after you finish a round, even if you were eliminated.
  3. In some games try to let other players determine the way to the target. Travelling as a group leader in round-based races is not always a good idea.
  4. Try to share duties and responsibilities in team-based games. Such management of duties may be easier to achieve if you will start playing with your friends and communicate a lot.

I have a question and I'm looking for an answer

The FAQ section of our guide contains answers and explanations of various problematic issues. In our FAQ section you can find, for example, a more detailed information about unclear or troublesome game mechanics.

  1. Crossplay feature - is it available in the game? - This feature may interest you if you would like to play the game with your friends who own Fall Guys on other hardware platform.
  2. Microtransactions and paid extras - are they available in the game? - You can find out whether you may pay some cash to get some benefits and make the gameplay a bit easier.
  3. Elimination - can I leave a game / match before it ends? - That's a question you can ask yourself after you have been eliminated before reaching the final round.

Platinum trophy - is it easy to earn it?

Fall Guys has extremely demanding Platinum trophy. In order to unlock 100% of trophies, you have to master all types of mini-games perfectly and spend tens of hours with the game. Unlocking platinum trophy can be a little easier if you play with your friends. For more information and descriptions of individual achievements, check our trophy guide.

Is Fall Guys a complex game?

Fall Guys is a game with relatively short single sessions. It should take you no more than a few hundred minutes to complete the entire tournament / episode. There is also a possible scenario that you will be eliminated a little earlier, even after a few minutes of play.

If you want to become a good player and earn all the trophies of the game, then you have to devote a lot of time and play the game. This subject was described in more detail on a separate page of our guide game length.

Connection problems - why can't I join the game?

The PS4 version of Fall Guys may have some problems with connecting to the servers - Fall Guys Guide

The PS4 version of Fall Guys may have some problems with connecting to the servers. This is due to the fact that the PlayStation 4 version was made available for free to 45 million subscribers of PlayStation Plus in August 2020. There is an assumption that game designers underestimated the extent of potential interest in their title.

Connection problems may occur once the game is launched, as this is a 100% multiplayer title which requires a constant Internet connection. Fall Guys does not offer any local gameplay or single player mode based on the offline mode.

You can also encounter some problems during matchmaking, that is, by clicking on the Play button. After that you will have to wait until the game assigns 60 players to a particular competition.

No matter what types of problems you experience with joining the game, the only effective solution is to be patient. There is a chance that game developers may add some new servers and that the situation with lost or failed connections will stabilize over time. As an alternative you may try to avoid playing in the evenings when there is usually the highest traffic in multiplayer games.

PS+ subscription - is it required?

Yes, PS4 version of the Fall Guys requires a PlayStation Plus subscription. In August 2020, the game was released for free to all PS+ subscribers. Also, it's being sold for 19,99. If you've missed out the moment of adding the game to your collection, then in addition to purchasing it you must also have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. Fall Guys is not a free to play title, so it doesn't allow people to play without a paid PS+ subscription.

The subscription problem does not apply to the PC version of the game. Owners of PC version of Fall Guys can join multiplayer games without additional fees or subscriptions after they have purchased the game.
