This page of the Elex 2 guide contains a walkthrough of the main quest called In Danger. You will receive this task at the beginning of the game, during the Nothing to Lose quest - when you talk to Adam.
Finding Dex
The first mission objective is to find Dex. His exact location will be marked on the map, so just go there.
Once there, you will see a dilapidated hut - this is where Dex is staying with a Berserk who is guarding him. Talk to them to receive another objective - lead Dex to the Bastion. It is also worth discovering the fast travel point near the ruined house.
Reach the Bastion and complete the mission
Now you have to get to the Bastion, which is nearby. The exact location will be marked on the map. The best way to get to the place is to follow the path marked on the map.
On your way, you will come across abandoned buildings. Search them, as they contain a lot of items and no enemies. There you will find potions, food, and things that you will be able to sell later.
After approaching the Bastion, Dex will automatically start a dialogue - this will complete the In Danger quest.
