This page of our game guide to Control - AWE contains a detailed description of the SHUM side mission. By reading our guide you can find out where the vending machines are located and what types of games are available on the vending machines.
Unlocking the mission: You must visit the location of Active Investigations. It is located in the central area of the sector that has to be visited, among others things, in each story mission of the expansion set.
Explore the southern part of this location to find two vending machines.
Initially, only the left slot is available, with has two main games available:
- The Crowd Control game, which consists in taking part in a long battle against hordes of incoming opponents.
- The Deadline game is a race against time, in which each killed opponent adds more gameplay time.
Also, you can unlock the harder versions of both these games (Challenge), in which more elite opponents appear.
After you play any game on the left vending machine, the right vending machine will be unlocked. This one, in turn, allows you to engage in boss fights which took place in the basic version of the game. In addition, you can once again complete the Ashtray Maze stage.
Quest will be completed after you successfully complete any game available on the left vending machine - you will unlock the Workplace Recreation trophy, collectible associated with the vending machine, crafting materials, Source and weapon mods. Despite completing the mission, it is worth to continue playing. You will be rewarded with a particularly valuable rewards (for example, very rare modifications) once every three successful games.
