One of the aspects of the gameplay in Chernobylite is expansion of your base. Thanks to the appropriate modifications you can increase the morale of your team. You can also make objects that will help you survive in the zone. This page of our guide has information related to this aspect of gameplay.
You can expand the base when you are staying inside it. Press "B" to open the expansion panel. On the first day, before you start expanding the base, you will have to remove rubble. This way you will get a place where you can build something and you will get materials useful for further expansion. You should also place a workshop that will allow you to make other objects.
From now on, you can start expanding your base. Pay attention to two indicators appearing on the screen - the comfort of life and power excess. If the first one falls below 100%, it will have a negative impact on the team's morale. If the second indicator shows a low value, it will lead to power shortages.
When you active the expansion panel, you can move between the categories in a special tab. They contain a number of objects that you can place. Each of them affects the above statistics to some extent, so it is necessary to constantly monitor their values.
First of all, place the generator and hydraulic press. Thanks to this, you will provide yourself with energy supply and will be able to produce ammunition. Next, invest in decorative or entertainment objects to minimize the negative impact coming from the objects placed earlier.
Place other objects according to your needs to adapt to the situation. When you really need a specific design and you don't have the right amount of materials, you can memorize/write down what you are missing. There is also a last resort option - dismantling objects in the base.
