Hill 493 - Walkthrough Walkthrough and Guide for Call of Duty: WW2

The real action starts right away. Follow the Capture the Hill marker, and eliminate hostile squads that you come across.

You will reach enemy fortifications, and a heavy machine gun will open fire. You won't be able to disable it without an engineer, so your task will be to escort him. Use the right button to order the engineer to run forward. Don't give the order, unless you are sure it's safe. It's best to throw smoke grenades into the battlefield, as the enemy will stop using the heavy machine gun. Once the engineer reaches the fortifications, he will blow them up. Enter the bunker and head for the trenches.

Follow the Destroy the Artillery marker. Kill incoming soldiers, until you reach the artillery. Now blow it up.

Follow the Destroy the Artillery marker again. Once you blow up the second battery, the battlefield will fill with enemy soldiers, accompanied by a tank.

You'll have no heavy guns at your disposal, so your only chance is to approach the tank and throw a grenade inside (tap the appearing button). You need to repeat this twice. Destroy the tank and a cut scene will begin. You have just completed mission Hill 493.
