SECOND ASSIGNMENT: Clear the canal

Map legend: 1 - starting area; 2 - cover points for you and your squads; 3 - enemy units; 4 - enemies on the bridge; 5 - destination

This is a relatively difficult assignment, mostly because you'll have to stay near the canal and you won't be allowed to surprise enemy units nor to outflank them. You should also know that many of the surrounding objects may be destroyed by enemy units. Order one of your teams to move back. As for the other squad, it should take cover behind a large truck (1 on the map) [#249]. Your colleagues should be standing next to the hood, because the back of the vehicle may be destroyed easily and that would automatically expose them to enemy fire.

Start firing at enemy troops. You will have to deal with soldiers standing in front of you (3 on the map), as well as with enemy units on a nearby bridge (4 on the map). The group occupying the higher round seems like a priority, because they have a good view at the surrounding area [#250].

Keep pushing forward, but don't risk too much. There are some large obstacles near your position (2 on the map), but remember that you can hide near wooden objects only for a few seconds. A tree to your left is a better idea [#251]. Go west once you've dealt with German soldiers and eventually you'll receive new orders.
