Crafting in Biomutant allows players to use found raw materials, components, and parts to create entirely new items or to modify owned pieces of equipment.
Crafting weapons
In Biomutant, you can modify both the melee and ranged weapons. You can create hundreds of interesting combinations from raw materials and components.

Creating a new melee or ranged weapon
To create a new melee weapon in Biomutant, combine the base (Handle) with the following bases - one-handed slash, two-handed slash, crush.
For ranged weapons, attach the base (pistol, shotgun, rifle, automatic rifle) to the grip and barrel. You can also add stock or magazine to your weapon.
Weapon modification
In Biomutant, you can modify both the melee and ranged weapons. All you have to do is go to the crafting tab, select the appropriate weapon and go to the modification menu. Each weapon also has a certain number of slots for addons, which will increase the weapon's stats as well as its quality.
In Biomutant, you use raw materials to modify weapons. However, you don't lose the exchanged items.
Upgrading weapons
To upgrade weapons, you will need a Weapon Workbench hooked up to large balloons - it can be found in villages or outposts, for example. By spending the right amount of raw materials, you will be able to increase the quality of weapons and upgrade the material.
Crafting armor
In Biomutant, you can modify and upgrade all armor pieces (body, legs, head, arms, etc.) - every upgrade will cost you a certain amount of resources.
Armor modification
In Biomutant, you can modify all elements of your armor. Simply go to the crafting tab, select the appropriate item (body, legs, head, arms, etc.) and go to the modification menu. Each piece of armor has a certain number of slots where you can insert addons, which will increase their stats as well as their quality.

Armor parts with extra addon slots are more expensive to upgrade but they give a better effect.
