The backpack in Astroneer can't hold too many items, and a lot of raw materials and resources quickly take up free space in the inventory. At the beginning of the gameplay the backpack should be enough, but with the further development of the base you will need more and more resources. Because of this, it is worth figuring out how to store items. On this page you will learn all objects and containers that allow you to store items in Astroneer.
How to store items?
Items are stored in containers and object tagged with Storages type. Simply build this kind of object, put it on a platform and connect it to an energy source (for example to the main base) - now you can store the obtained items in special places by using the mouse pointer. There are three buildings of this type in Astroneer. A detailed description can be found in the table below:
