Age of Wonders Planetfall - System requirements Age of Wonders Planetfall guide, tips

Last update: 07 August 2019

Age of Wonders: Planetfall features detailed and nice graphics, yet it doesn't require a high-end system to enjoy a smooth gameplay. For the owners of weaker hardware there are several graphic options available, thanks to which they will adjust the game to the capabilities of their rigs without losing too much on the quality of gameplay.

Minimum system requirements

To enjoy comfortable gameplay (about 30 frames per second) at 720p resolution and graphics detail set to "Medium", you will need at least the following hardware specs:

  1. Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5 (3rd generation) or AMD FX (or similar)
  3. RAM: 6 GB
  4. Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 650 Ti / AMD Radeon HD 7770 (1GB)
  5. Hard drive: 20 GB of free HDD space

Note: the game runs much better when installed on a SSD. In Age of Wonders: Planetfall, rounds/turns are quite quick and you will often take part in battles on a tactical map, so loading screens may be a common thing. Thanks to the SSD drive, loading screens disappear instantly, allowing you to enjoy the gameplay a lot more.

Recommended system requirements

In order to enjoy smooth gameplay (within 60 frames per second) in 1080p resolution, with graphic settings on "High", you need to have the following hardware:

  1. Operating system: Windows 10 (64bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5 (7th or 8th generation) / AMD Ryzen 5
  3. RAM: 8 GB
  4. Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB) / Radeon RX 470 (4 GB)
  5. Hard drive: 20 GB of free HDD space

Note: the game runs much better when installed on a SSD. In Age of Wonders: Planetfall, rounds/turns are quite quick and you will often take part in battles on a tactical map, so loading screens may be a common thing. Our system

This guide was prepared on the basis of the PC version of the game, and the following PC configuration was used to create it:

  1. Operating system: Windows 10 (64bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5-3470 (3.2 GHz)
  3. RAM: 16 GB
  4. Video card: GeForce GTX 970 (4 GB)
  5. Hard drive: install the game on a SSD

Notes: we ran the game in 1080p resolution, with high / ultra graphics settings and the performance was smooth all the time. On the map of the world, the game has kept constant 60 fps, as well as during battles on tactical maps - usually several units take part in these battles, so it is unlikely that there may be any drop downs due to high amount of special effects.
