Your hero is described by three attributes that can be spent on abilities and special actions

This chapter contains some insight on character attributes, which attributes are most desired by Glaive, Nano, and Jack, and how to use "Effort".

Basically, your hero is described by three attributes - Might, Speed and Intellect. These attributes work in an unconventional way, as you need to "spend" them to activate abilities, emerge victorious from a dispute, or increase your chances of success in quests that require Effort. To renew your attributes, you need to use certain types of items, or find a moment to rest. Now for the attributes:

  • Might - represents the overall physical might of the hero, and his ability to withstand an attack. Each point increases your health points by 1. It's the main attribute for Glaive.
  • Speed - Influences the overall agility and hero's reflexes. Two speed points increase your dodge modifier by 5%. It's the main attribute for Jack.
  • Intellect - represents hero's mental capacity, his power of will, and influences his overall personality. Two intellect points increase your willpower by 5%. It's the most important attribute for Nano.

Additionally, there is a small beam below detailing the amount of Effort, i.e. additional boost to the chosen attribute. Each point lowers the activation cost of a skill by 1. As a result, using an ability may be free. This mechanic allows the player to conserve attributes, which may be especially useful at the beginning of the game. You can increase your Effort once for each experience tier.
