Wow~! This is an old topic. By now, I'm pretty sure everyone here has had their questions answered; but for the people visiting this website who haven't...let me try to shed some light.

As for joining Blackwood Company, you must be participating in the Fighter's Guild Quest that specifically orders you to infiltrate Blackwood, as designated by Modryn Oreyn (spelling?).

Secondly, it's not the Count of Leyawiin that is the son of the Countess of Chorrol. It's the Countess of Leyawiin that is the daughter of the "honorable Countess of Chorrol". Sorry. The discrepancy bothers me for some reason, I know not.

And if you're looking for Nocturnal's Eye, just pop in to Weebam-Na's house and speak to him. He'll tell you he doesn't know anything about the item in question, and you will be then prompted to essentially sneak around and eavesdrop on his conversations with his female live-in companion. (If your sneak ability is leveled; you have decent Chameleon equips/spells, or Invisibility spells, you're good to go, because they won't say "boo" if they see you). Spy them out to learn where the Eye is hidden, and then go claim it for yourself, and take it back to The Shrine Of Nocturnal for the Skeleton Key as a reward. (The Skeleton Key is very useful, if you don't like taking your time to pick those pesky locks, and it levels your Security skill, as well~!)

Weebam-Na is, incidentally, the same Argonian gentleman you had to go and get for Mazoga The Orc at Leyawiin Castle.

This is also the same town that has a glitch in the Mages Guild Recommendation Quest. If you haven't done this quest before; or if you haven't ever done it incorrectly before, take heed:

For the Leyawiin Mages Guild Recommendation: When/if you go to Fort Blueblood, do NOT leave Kelthar in the room in which he confronts you in. If you simply walk out without killing him and taking the key from his cold, lifeless body, and HAVEN'T obtained Dagail's Amulet from one of the coffers in that room, it will lock and you will have no way back in. This will, in turn, keep you from completing the quest for entrance to the Arcane University in The Imperial City. If you're an RPG over-achiever, like I am, you want to finish every single quest (and the Mages Guild is a major one).

Also, for anyone completing the "For Whom The Gods Annoy" quest (the one involving Rosentia Gallenus, and her band of "stinky" scamps), if you have anything offensive that is under-leveled, consider this an opportunity to level it, if you want. You can fling arrows, magic, or blunt/sharp-edged weapons at them, and they will keep coming back for you to lather, rinse, repeat the cycle. This is great, especially if you have some really under-leveled skills. I, personally, try to level everything (mostly out of the desire to not become bored with the game, and for versatility), so live it up, if you want/need it leveled.
