This page of the Oddworld Soulstorm guide contains descriptions of Badges from Level 12 - The Sanctum. These are different challenges for discovering secret areas, collecting Royal Jelly secrets and searching interactive containers. Our guide will help you earn all the platinum badges in Mission 12.
Additional notes: if we do not pass the requirements of the challenge 100%, then we can still receive a badge of a lower rank, for example, a gold or a silver one. The game allows you to repeat the completed stages in order to obtain the missed badges.
Explorer
Platinum badge requirements: Find 9 Secret Areas
Badge description: One of the challenges associated with secrets/collectibles. The game always informs about finding a secret area. We have included them in the walkthrough of Level 12 - they are marked in green.
Due to the fact that a large part of this level takes place in poorly lit locations, we advise you to help yourself with a flashlight or flares (better). This will reduce the risk of missing some secret location.
Scavenger
Platinum badge requirements: Collect loot from 25 trash cans and landfills.
Badge description: the containers in this mission are large objects shaped like jugs. There are exactly as many containers as it is required for this achievement; this means that in order to get a platinum badge, you cannot miss any of them.
Flares are very helpful in finding containers. Observe Abe's actions and react when the interaction icon appears (square on PS4/PS5). We also need to look at all the optional locations we pass along the way.
Hidden Help
Platinum badge requirements: Find 7 Royal Jelly secrets.
Badge description: One of the challenges associated with secrets/collectibles. Royal Jelly is a levitating object that you can collect to lengthen Abe's health bar. We have included them in the walkthrough of Level 12 - they are marked in green.
Due to the fact that a large part of this level takes place in poorly lit locations, we advise you to help yourself with a flashlight or flares (better). This will reduce the risk of missing some levitating object. Fortunately, they usually light up the surroundings and make it easier to see them in the dark.
Collector
Platinum badge requirements: picked up 3 collectables.
Badge description: the description of this badge is misleading, because it doesn't apply to standard collectables. They must simply be items that can be picked up and added to Abe's inventory. Nevertheless, it is not an easy challenge, because there are not many collectable objects on this level.
The first item we cannot miss is a flashlight, which we will get at the beginning of the level. The next 2 items to get are brew bottles. Abe can find them in the place from the above picture - during the first flame trial. As an exception, bottles have been included in our walkthrough of Mission 12 - they are marked in green on the Finding Dragon's Eye page.
