Kill the Butcher | Walkthrough Mafia III Guide

Below you will find walkthrough for the mission in which you must eliminate Butcher, one of the direct underbosses of Sal Marcano. This mission becomes available after you weaken two rackets in Pointe Verdun or in other words after you complete the story missions "Moonshine" and "Protection". What's important, after you reach the place where this mission starts (Burke's scrap yard), the fights will start immediately, so it is a good idea to prepare for it beforehand. You should replenish your ammunition and equip Lincoln with bulletproof vest, grenades and/or Molotov's cocktails and adrenaline injections.

Aim at the red barrels when a vehicle or an opponent appears nearby

Once you get to Burke, a cutscene will start and after it you will be on the roof of the building. Take the sniper rifle left by Burke - it will prove to be very useful very soon.

Remain on the roof and listen to information about the places where the enemy vehicles will appear. Try destroying then when they are close to the red barrels scattered across the whole scrap yard. Each such action will allow you to avoid fighting the gangsters that would leave the car and scatter around. You can also detonate the red barrels when an opponent stands next to them. Keep fighting from the roof until you deplete the ammunition of the sniper rifle. Only after that walk down and fight on shorter distance. For that you should take a shotgun or a rifle from one of your enemies.

Shoot the Butcher from behind a cover and help yourself for example with Molotov's cocktails

The Butcher will appear on the scrap yard once you eliminate his men. Once that happens, first eliminate his bodyguards. Butcher is using weapon that deals great damage, so don't remain on open space and don't get close to him. You should use a good rifle and explosives to weaken him - Molotov's cocktails are especially useful since they can set him on fire and make susceptible to gunfire.

You must weaken the Butcher until he kneels. Once that happens, walk towards him and press the interaction button. Now you must confirm that you give Pointe Verdun to Burke. You can meet with Burke in the distillery in the very short story mission "Only Way's Forward". In addition to that, you will unlock the optional mission "The Righteously Fucked" in which you can receive orders from Nicki that allow you to expand your racket.
