The Great Northern Wall (Mission)

The Great Northern Wall

The Great Northern Wall is the last line of defense between the beastlike Charr of the north, and the two remaining cities of the fallen kingdom of Ascalon. Before the Searing, the Northern Gate was the grand, diplomatic entrance used to greet visiting dignitaries. Now it is just another outpost, manned by the Ascalon army and citizens who volunteer for guard duty.

comments and responses

I bought this game a few weeks ago after finding my Factions and firing it up again, realizing all that fun I used to have. :D

When I did this, I had to go back a second time for the bonus. I was more worried about the main objective first. I had to hold down ALT not Ctrl, so that it highlighted people and interactive objects. Sometimes the wreckages show up even if you've been there and clicked it. I didn't have trouble with finding them before talking to Klinn.

He has a funny name... Really what were they thinking?

To get back to wall faster the x-axis/y-axis is a must. The POV doesn't work as well as the x,y axis

I thought it was funny once when we tried to take down the ENTIRE army......We lost..... Later we came back and beat their butts with 2 monkz......Still we died a LOT of times and just used Candy Canes to take away the death penalty....

Necromancers have extra fun in this mission if they bring a teleport skill. First of all, kill a foe behind the gate before the gate is opened, then teleport to it's corpse. Necros don't use doors. Next keep atleast 1 or 2 foes alive nearest to the bridge. Then when you have to flee the Charr, target them with a ranged spell and teleport out of harms way. It looks kind of silly. Even funnier is to lure as many Charr as you can into the fort so they will screw up the cinematic big time. Watch Captain Calhaan say that the Charr are approaching, while he is being beaten up by several Charr, thus almost drowning out the sound of his lines.

I just played through this map a couple of weeks ago, and I can say I have seen the "missing armor piece" bug as well. My first time through, there was no armor in the wreckage pile on the hill near Klinn Testibrie. On my second try, it was there. *shrugs*
Seen it too

All four pieces of armor are there. Sometimes there is a glitch in the system. I have found all the pieces when I play, except for one time. I don't wait to speak to Testibrie that would take way too long. The last piece of armor is on your way to find the char. It is on the left hand side BEFORE you get to the char.

DO NOT open any of the containers labeled as "wreckage" until AFTER you speak with Klinn Testibrie. If you do then you won't find all 4 pieces of his armor and you will need to repeat the mission to complete the bonus.

It's either broken or jesus hates me because I can't finish it. I spent way too much time the 2nd try looking for the last piece but it's just not there. One of the wreckage piles doesn't have anything in it, I guess that is where the problem is.

hold down the CTRL key to highlight interactive objects. There is a cunning piece further up the hill behind where you meet Klinn testibrie.
The last piece

Is there something I am missing? Everytime I do the bonus and check the 4 wreckage I only find 3 pieces and have to do the mission over.
