This page has a list of all the major DLC expansions for The Elder Scrolls Online. We inform about the assumptions and unique features of individual expansions. We have also included our recommendations for the most interesting TESO expansions that are worth your money.

The expansions table below shows the status for the first half of May 2020. The Elder Scrolls Online is updated with new large and small DLC expansions on a regular basis.

All DLCs are bought for Crowns, the currency purchased with real money. The exception is the two large expansions, Elsweyr and Greymoor, which can be purchased immediately with real money - you don't need to get Crowns first.

The ESO Plus monthly subscription guarantees access to all expansions for the duration of your subscription. You don't have to buy them individually.

Elsweyr

We recommend this purchase. It is one of the largest expansions for The Elder Scrolls Online. It grants players access to the Khajiits' vast land. Besides the new area, players also can fight dragons and use a new character class - Necromancer.

Greymoor

The price of this expansion is €39.99/$39.99.

We recommend this purchase. It is one of the largest expansions for The Elder Scrolls Online. It unlocks access to new snow-covered areas in the western part of the Skyrim region. Besides the added location, players can also face new monsters controlled by the Vampire Lord, become an archaeologist and retrieve lost artifacts, or participate in Harrowstorms events.

Dark Brotherhood

This expansion costs 2,000 Crowns. Check out Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack - this is a much better deal than buying the DLCs separately.

This expansion is worth a purchase. The DLC allows players to join the Dark Brotherhood, a secret group of assassins. As a member of the Dark Brotherhood, you will be able to take on new jobs and use new equipment.

Dragon Bones

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

It allows you to visit the new Scalecaller Peak Dungeons. Besides that, you will also be able to fight a Bone Dragon and get new equipment.

Dragonhold

This expansion costs 2,000 Crowns.

It adds a new land in the Pellitine region of south Elsweyr. It adds new quests, enemies and equipment.

Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack

This expansion costs 4,000 Crowns.

This set includes Dark Brotherhood, Imperial City, Orsinium and Thieves Guild expansions.

Harrowstorm

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

This expansion is worth a purchase. It adds new extensive Icereach and Unhallowed Grave dungeons. It also serves as a prologue to the events presented in Greymoor expansion. The dungeons are roamed by new opponents such as witches and necromancers. Players can also acquire new loot.

Harrowstorm Collector's Bundle

This expansion costs 4,000 Crowns.

It is a collector's edition of the Harrowstorm expansion. Besides the basic content, it gives the player faster XP scrolls as well as Hallin's Jackal and Pyre Watch Jackal pets.

Horns of the Reach

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

It adds the new Bloodroot Forge and Falkreath Hold dungeons. They are located in southwest Skyrim and offer new opponents as well as equipment (including dyes and outfits).

Imperial City

This is a free add-on, but to explore the Imperial City, your character must be on at least level 10.

It adds the eponymous marshes located in Black Marsh. There, you can do new quests, defeat new monsters and acquire new equipment.

Orsinium

This expansion costs 3,000 Crowns. Check out Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack - this is a much better deal than buying the DLCs separately.

This expansion is worth a purchase. It allows you to visit the Orcs homeland and complete a new story line. You can also explore dungeons with unique treasures and join the fights in the Maelstrom arena.

Scalebreaker

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

This DLC offers the opportunity to visit two "dragon" dungeons - Moongrave Fane and Lair of the Maarselok. The dungeons are designed for 4-person groups and offer challenging boss battles.

Shadows of the Hist

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

This DLC allows you to visit two Argonian dungeons - Cradle of Shadows and The Ruins of Mazzatun. They offer new battles and new items.

Summerset

This expansion costs 3,500 Crowns.

We recommend this purchase. It is one of the largest expansions for The Elder Scrolls Online. It unlocks access to the vast island of High Elves as well as a new story line. The DLC also gives you the opportunity to join The Psijic Order and participate in tough challenges for the 12-person teams.

The Clockwork City

This expansion costs 2,000 Crowns.

This DLC adds the eponymous city where you can face the Daedric threat. 12-player groups can complete new challenges to acquire armor sets and other valuable treasures.

Thieves Guild

This expansion costs 2,000 Crowns. Check out Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack - this is a much better deal than buying the DLCs separately.

This expansion is worth a purchase. With this DLC, you can join the Thieves Guild and visit Hew's Bane associated to that faction. As a member of the Thieves Guild, you can take on various jobs and use new equipment.

Wolfhunter

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

It allows you to visit new dungeons thematically linked to werewolves and Daedric Prince Hircine. These dungeons feature new monsters and bosses, as well as a new hunter gear.

Wrathstone

This expansion costs 1,500 Crowns.

This DLC allows you to visit two new dungeons - Frostvault and Depths of Malatar. These locations are roamed by strong new adversaries. However, players can also find precious treasures.
