This main guide to Dragon Age: Origins video game contains a detailed info on primary and secondary quests available in the game - Dragon Age: Origins - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This main guide to Dragon Age: Origins video game contains a detailed info on primary and secondary quests available in the game. Each quest has been described thoroughly. Possible solutions are shown and ways to defeat enemies are described.

All the quests in this guide have been divided into four main categories:

The first category contains all six origins stories played immediately after a new hero has been created (player is allowed to choose a story depending on race and class).

The second category contains all main quests tied to the Plague issue. Their completion is required to reach one of the endings of the game.

The third category contains all quests tied to certain locations. Some of these assignments are mandatory and some of them are optional.

The final fourth category contains small quests given to the main character by members of different guilds and organizations.

This game guide is also offering more than 80 large maps of certain areas of Ferelden and their role is to make the process of finding items, NPC's and monsters easier. The description of each quest contains links to these maps and here's how to use them:

(Mx, y) - x is the map number and y is the number on the certain map

For example, (M10, 5) means that the player should look at map number 10 and search for an area marked with a 5.

Different colors have also been used to designate some of the main features of the game. Red color shows characters and monsters, blue color shows locations, green color shows interactive items and orange color warns about additional dialogue options, including persuasion and intimidation.

I regiatered before 2013 but i cant download dragen age origins game guide.why?

Stranger 02/05/2011 11:54

d_t_a --> That scene doesn't appear in the journal, so it's not officially a quest. It has has been described in the World Atlas section.

d_t_a 01/05/2011 17:08

In the early game, Korcari Wilds section, there's a side-quest "A Pinch of Ashes" which I think is started after finding the Pouch of Ashes. Perhaps this mini side quest can be added to the Game Guide?

we need more games like this computer role playing

Stranger 05/07/2010 19:47

ponihest --> Don't forget about collecting codex entries and unlocking achievements (in the PC version as well, not only in the console versions). GeForce --> Things you've mentioned don't appear in the main character's journal as quests. They've been mentioned in descriptions of the main areas. For example, Caged in Stone "quest" is described here: med21 --> I'm sorry, but we're not planning on adding any walkthroughs of new DLC's at the moment. It may change in the future, but I can't make any promises. EViper44 --> Redcliffe's main quest has been described here: Please always use the search engine (either the one in your browser or ours) to find the name of the quest you're looking for. :)this post has been modified by its author [2010-07-05 20:50:30]

This guide should be updated to include the new DLCs that have been released.

I was wondering where the "notes" are for the two side quests in the Orzammar area. They are called "Caged in Stone" and "Gangue Shade." Will these be added to the walk-through?

hey guys... i have a question... where can i find a nude-mode for Dragon Age ? in 3 days i havent found anything but this and i dont know how to use it or what to do with it but on a friend found , looking for some mods for armours, these 3 pictures if u look carefully at the "tits" u can see they are "completely uncovered" but he added the black-bands this definately means he were using the nude-mode patch... do u have any idea where i can get it ? i found mods for "batter s*X scenes" (not quite much a difference, just more explicit content, but still UNNAKED, the underclothing remains) and thats teh reason why i want teh nude-patch... both will result in a big deal in DAO's romance... P.S. a whle day i also tried to modify game textures files and character files and i didnt succed (please, DO NOT think i am kindda s*Xual obsessed, but naking cahrs might offer great opportunities for screanshots)

EViper44 19/06/2010 05:01

Umm you guys missed the Redclif castle quests? I found maps but for some reason all the quest inside castle are missing, Like going to Fade saving the Arl son and all that????

Stranger 19/05/2010 11:42

@rimon786: Please don't post any links here to stolen game guides.

Loghain may use.... but alistair will leave us.. so, you must decide who u want to choose beside u along the battle wiht blight..

Stranger 25/03/2010 22:11

It's on the way, but I'm not working on it so I can't give you an exact date. All I can ask you is to be patient, because our guides are always very detailed and therefore it takes a lot of time to write them. :)this post has been modified by its author [2010-03-25 23:15:38]

I need Dragon Age Origins Awakening Game Guide pleasee

Stranger 17/02/2010 12:38

@elfgirl: Yes, being captured and thrown into jail won't affect the future encounter with him. In fact I think that most of the players will have to visit Fort Drakon because defeating Cauthrien is quite hard, even on normal difficulty setting (PC version).this post has been modified by its author [2010-02-17 13:39:21]

elfgirl 15/02/2010 20:02

To Stranger: Thanks for the info on Duncan shield. I will go look for him after the quest. Will he still show up in The Arl's rooms if you are captured and taken to Fort Draken and have to complete that quest? My butt keeps getting kicked by Loghian and howes guards after the queen is released. Thanks so much for everyone's help.

Stranger 03/02/2010 12:34

@elfgirl: "- Once you’ve successfully completed Saving the queen quest visit arl Eamon’s room in his estate and you’ll meet Riordan (M71, 1). He’s the Grey Warden you’ve had a chance to rescue while exploring [Denerim – Arl of Denerim’s estate – Interior] and in return for freeing him he’ll mention a treasure. You may now travel to [Denerim – Market district – Market warehouse] (M65, 3). Clicking on a cabinet will unlock a secret room filled with a lot of valuable items." If I remember correctly that's where you'll find the shield.

elfgirl 31/01/2010 20:04

Oh thank you, thank you Kushal911! My first game is defeated and I am on a second game doing things a bit different. My first game I had Alistair take out Loghain. This time I am taking him out myself out. Hopefully I can still kill him and gain the key. Duncan shield not worth losing Alistair over. Gotta to say this is one of the best adventure games next to Fable 2 and my all time favorite Legend of Zelda series I have ever played. This is how role playing fantasy video games should be.

kushal911 31/01/2010 08:12

@elfgirl I dont clearly remmember but you get it somewhere near ending..when during the landsmeet the Grey Warden you saved who was locked up in the palace he then ends up in that room which you stay for the landsmeet becides the Erl he gives you some key and then you have to go to a warehouse just ahead of the wonders of thedas [same one which was accessed for a previous quest] there is a secret door just behind the cabinet to which you can access the Grey Warden store there you will find Duncan's Shield...goodluck.
