In this section of our game guide we have described the names of locations, specific places and the characteristics of individual planets of Destiny 2 universe. The terms and icons you will find on the map or during specific types of patrols have also been explained.
On the map of each planet available in the Solar System of Destiny 2 you will find several elements that were not included in the legend. Here are the typical ones you'll find on any map.

Lost Sectors
Lost Sectors - in each of them you will find a large group of opponents and a chest that can be looted only after you defeat a mini-boss of this particular location. Inside the chest you will find a token of a certain planet and additional rewards (usually not of great value).
Some Lost Sector locations are very well hidden. Their entrances may be hidden underground, in shaded caves or buildings. As you explore the area, look for the distinctive white signs (painted with white paint) - a sign that the entrance to the Lost Sector is right next door.
Each sector turns grey on the map after clearing it out, but after some time you can re-visit them to loot the chest again (they always contain a token). However, you will get weaker items and only 100 Experience Points instead of 600 experience points.
Region Chests
Region Chests - yellow chests that can be looted only once. They usually contain more than one token of a particular planet and some interesting rewards (e.g. weapon Shaders). For looting it you will receive 100 points, that is, a certain amount of experience points. They can often be hidden on different floors, making them hard to find. They can also be found in caves and buildings, so knowing the location on the map won't always make it easy for you to get to them.
Public Events
All players on the map can participate in Public Events, including those who are currently focused on other missions. You can join this type of activity without an active PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription. You can wait for them, or join even them just before they end, and you won't miss the reward anyway. These events occur at specific intervals (approx. 5 min) in various places on the map. The level of difficulty can vary. In general, it is quite difficult to complete them individually. At the end of the event (even a failed one), a chest will appear at the location where the marker was located on the map, which must be looted to collect rewards. The experience ranges to a few thousand points, so this is a good way to get a fast level up. The nature of the objectives vary, but they are often quite common and typical: you must capture and hold certain points before time passes or defeat a strong boss.
Adventures
Adventures have been marked on the map as orange icons with a sword symbol. They appear daily on every planet and may vary a lot. Each icon also indicates the reward you can get, and the difficulty level (suggested power).
These quests resemble classic side missions - they have their own kind of storyline, ofter include a boss fight, and no-respawn stages. They can usually be challenging and interesting once you've completed the main storyline. You also have the chance to get Exotic engrams, although the reward is usually quite low.
Side quests
They have a blue icon with crown on the map, and are somewhat reminiscent of Adventures. These are sets of side quests in which you have to complete certain objectives. They are not highly rewarded in either equipment or experience. Thus, you should treat them as additional content if you get bored of other activities.
