System requirements of Call of Cthulhu Call of Cthulhu Guide and Walkthrough

Last update: 31 October 2018

Call of Cthulhu is powered by the Unreal Engine 4.0, which can provide a high quality graphics and quite detailed textures, without the requirement of expensive hardware. To enjoy smooth gameplay in 60 frames per second and highest settings, it will be enough to have a mid-range equipment. However, it is worth investing in SSD - the game gains significantly, as the levels will few times faster.

Minimum system requirements

In order to enjoy smooth 1080p gameplay with medium settings, or high graphics settings in 720p, you must have at least the following hardware:

  1. OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5-3450 (3.1 GHz) / AMD FX-6300 (3.5 GHz)
  3. RAM: 8GB
  4. Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 660 / Radeon HD 7870 (2GB)
  5. HDD/SDD Space: 13GB of free disk space

Note: it's worth to install the game on an SSD, which significantly accelerates level loadings - even few times faster!

Recommended system requirements

To enjoy smooth 1080p gameplay with the highest graphics settings, you need at least the following hardware configuration:

  1. OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 (3.6 GHz) / AMD FX-8370 (4 GHz)
  3. RAM: 8GB
  4. Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 970 / Radeon R9 390 (4GB)
  5. HDD/SDD: 13GB of free disk space

Note: it's worth to install the game on an SSD, which significantly accelerates level loadings - even few times faster!

Our rig

This guide was prepared on the PC version of the game. We used a rig with the following configuration:

  1. OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5-3470 (3.2 GHz)
  3. RAM: 16GB
  4. Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 970 (4GB)
  5. HDD/SDD: installed on SDD disk

Note: The game was running smoothly for most of the time in 1080p resolution, on ultra settings. Framerate dropdowns were very rare (it is rather related to errors in the game), and the game kept a constant 60 frames per second all the time.
