SHARD 1/16 - First shard can be found at mission's beginning, after passing through first group of enemies at the water and before you reach first synchronization point. It's on the middle ledge in a well visible place.
SHARD 2/16 - Second shard is on the low platform right from the first Concubine (optional mission task). You must be careful as the road to the secret is guarded by enemy with heightened senses.
SHARD 3/16 - Third shard can be found not far after getting through the wooden beam dropped down with throwing knifes. After reaching another territory with enemies don't walk down. Instead of that, go to the right ledge. At its end you will find the secret.
SHARD 4/16 - Fourth shard can be found after you leave the location with third one. There are few enemies around who observe the lowest level (it's not far from the room with second Concubine). Before you get close to enemies, start climbing ledges above bamboo curtains. After reaching the highest ledge, go right and enter the building.
SHARD 5/16 - Fifth shard in on one of wooden balconies, right from where you found the fourth one. You reach it on your way to the room with second Concubine. Secret is very well guarded. You can obtain it by catching the edge of the left ledge and distract two enemies standing on it (use noise darts). It will allow you to safely jump right.
SHARD 6/16 - Sixth shard can be found slightly further, after passing the window leading to second Concubine and after sneaking up near enemy with a crossbow. Jump to the bottom, the secret can be found at the base of wooden construction.
SHARD 7/16 - Seventh shard is near the previously described sixth one. Search for a ladder leading to lower level. Use it when enemy won't look at its direction. Walk slightly left and use rope dart to get the secret.
SHARD 8/16 - Eighth shard is in next explored territory. More specifically it is in a location observed by a single crossbowman. Wait until he looks in other direction, quickly climb on the small wooden ledge and take the secret.
SHARD 9/16 - Ninth shard is hidden near the previously described eighth one. You must go right and use rope dart to get to a wooden balcony.
SHARD 10/16 - Tenth shard can be found after you start exploring the gardens - after you perform a leap of faith from the second synchronization point. It is well visible and you simply must use rope dart to get close to it.
SHARD 11/16 - Eleventh shard is further in the gardens. You will reach it shortly before you find third Concubine, at the place where Shao Jun must walk near the water to the left.
SHARD 12/16 - Twelfth shard can be collected after the eleventh. Use nearby ledges to get to the upper ledge patrolled by enemy with heightened senses (yellow circle). When he goes right, take the secret.
SHARD 13/16 - Thirteenth shard can be found after leaving the gardens, after you use throwing knife to drop down interactive ladder. Get to the top of the construction, jump right and use interactive edges to reach a single window. Climb inside and take the secret.
SHARD 14/16 - Fourteenth shard is near the waterfall on the way to Empress' tower. Reach the middle level of this territory and start moving left. You must get through two enemies patrolling the bridge and third one walking near the bushes on the left.
SHARD 15/16 - Fifteenth shard is located in the territory with two talking guards. Secret is unavailable until you take care of enemies - you can either kill them or lure them left with a gadget.
SHARD 16/16 - Sixteenth shard can be obtained at the end of the mission, after you bypass the guard regularly checking the ladder leading to upper floor. Go left. Don't jump to the left roof, instead go down. Secret is in the territory with two new enemies, you must avoid them.
