In Xenoblade 3, you can die in combat or during exploration. On this page, you will learn how to resurrect teammates, what will happen when everyone dies, and what are the death penalties.
Death in a fight
When one of your characters is killed during a fight, the healer will resurrect them after a while. However, if there is no healer in the party alive, dead characters will be automatically resurrected only after winning the fight, i.e. if at least 1 person remains alive after a fight. If your character dies in combat, you can switch to another team member.
The death of the entire team will take you to the nearest landmark or resting place. Fortunately, there are no penalties for dying, so you won't lose any experience points, items or gold.
Death while exploring
You can lose health points by falling off high cliffs. After a fall, the healer will instantly regenerate health, but if your main character dies, the game will move your party to the nearest landmark or resting place without losing any experience, items or gold.
