Aside from supplying soldiers with weapons and armors, the player can further increase the effectiveness of his / her troops by equipping them with Personal Combat Sims, or to be more specific, by installing special implants. Those offer immense bonuses (especially in the case of the rarest ones), but each soldier can only use one PCS at a time.

Personal Combat Sims are hard to acquire, which is why they should be used with caution and supplied only to those soldiers that you are planning to use - similarly to weapon upgrades, once a PCS is applied, it can't recovered (it can only be replaced by another one).

The Guerilla Tactics School allows you to purchase an upgrade that increases the effectiveness of PCS - the influence of the upgrade can be found in the brackets in the table below.

How to acquire PCS

There are two sources of PCS in the game. The first one is a random drop from fallen enemies, but that is an extremely rare occurrence. The second easier one, but at the same time very expensive (especially during the first few weeks of the game) source is the Black Market - there will almost always be at least one PCS available to purchase there, but those tend to cost a lot of Intel, which should be spent elsewhere during your first several hours with the game. If you can't afford them at the beginning of the game, purchase them after you've contacted most of the resistance cells and you can spare some Intel.

PCS recommended for specific classes

There are no recommended PCS for specific classes, as every single one of them can benefit from all of them - it all depends on your playstyle. The only thing that you should focus on is to install the ones that increase the aim (Perception PCS) on your Sharpshooters and Rangers - those two classes will benefit greatly from every point of Aim you can give them.
