  1. In the table below, we have included only our own recommendations associated with unlocking new technologies. If any particular group of projects (for example, grenades) will appeal to you in particular, then you may decide to develop more of them.
  2. Subsequent research projects are unlocked gradually. If you can't run a project that's included in our list, then execute other projects and wait until it gets available.
  3. Try to make sure there's always 12 agents in the assembly room. The presence of an agent will reduce research time by 50 percent and this is particularly useful for more complex projects that need more time to complete.
  4. Keep acquiring elerium on a regular basis, as it is required to complete many major projects.

Android Personnel

You receive an android for free.

Grants the ability to buy more Androids.

Unlocks basic portfolio of projects associated with Assembly.

This is the first research project you can execute right after completing the prologue. It will unlock other initial projects and you can also be able to use the first android immediately in case you lose one of your agents during the mission.

Modular Weapons

Agents can use Weapon Mods.

Allows you to purchase the first three Weapon Mods.

It's one of the top priority projects at the beginning of the game. Don't postpone this project or delay its execution. Weapons upgrades increase damage or accuracy.

Modular Armor

Agents can use Armor Mods.

Allows you to purchase first 3 Armor Mods.

It's one of the top priority projects at the beginning of the game. Don't postpone this project or delay its execution. Armor upgrades add additional armor points or resistances against particular attack types.

Modular Androids

Androids can use Android Mods.

This project allows you to buy the first 3 android upgrades.

Only make this project a priority if you play on one of the higher difficulty levels, because then it is much easier to lose an agent during battle and replace a lost soldier with an android.

Enhanced [weapons]

Gives you an ability to upgrade all weapons of a particular type (for example, assault rifles).

In the assembly you will find a separate project for each type of weapon - choose the ones you use most often first. After purchasing an upgrade all weapons of a specific category will get a +1 to damage bonus.

Mastercrafted [weapons]

Ability to re-upgrade all weapons of a particular type.

The assumptions are identical to the aforementioned project - you can pay a one-time fee to upgrade all weapons of a particular type (for example, all shotguns). Each improved weapon will once again receive a +1 damage bonus.

Enhanced Armor

The ability to upgrade all armor types.

This is an important project especially if you play the game on higher difficulty levels. After buying an upgrade (200 credits) all team members will receive enhanced armor.

Mastercrafted Armor

Grants the ability to upgrade all armor again.

The assumptions are identical to the aforementioned project - you can pay a one-time fee (300 credits) to upgrade the armor of all agents in the Chimera Division. This will help you survive, especially during the later missions.

Improved Field Teams

Unlocks the promotion of field teams to rank 2.

This is an important project, which will allow you to receive more profits and benefits from the tasks performed by field teams in the city. Promoting all teams to rank 2 will also increase the effectiveness of Major Crimes Task Force ability (lowering the anarchy level in the city).

Expert Field Teams

Unlocks the promotion of field teams to rank 3.

The assumptions are identical to the aforementioned project - you can gain more profits and subtract more points from the anarchy bar.

Improved Medkits

All first aid kits are upgraded to Nanomedikits.

Execute this project as soon as it becomes available. It will increase the effectiveness of first-aid kits. In other words, it will be possible to renew up to 6 lost health points of an agent at once.

Improved Spec Ops

Grants possibility to perform 2 Spec Ops activities simultaneously.

This is very useful especially after you recruit more agents. You will be able to handle 2 operations at the same time and, as a result, gain more rewards associated with them.

Improved Training

Grants an ability to train 2 agents simultaneously.

Develop this technology once it becomes available. It will make it easier for you to remove scars from the bodies of injured agents. You won't have to wait until the other scheduled training ends or interrupt it.
