This page of our guide answers the questions about Expulsom - what is it like and where to find it? This new crafting material is one of the main new components for many of the great items that can be produced with the in-game professions.
What is Expulsom?
What actually is Expulsom? It is a type of new raw material introduced in Battle for Azeroth, which is used by some professions. This material is extremely important for players who have the following professions:
How to get Expulsom?
It 's quite easy to say that Expulsom is theoretically nothing special - just a mere resource required in the profession. However, there are some issues when you have to collect this material. Unlike other raw materials, it is impossible to get it from a rock, plant or animal. You also won't encounter the Expulsom lying loose on the ground or as a loot from the defeated enemies.
Expulsom can sometimes be obtained by processing (prospecting in Jewelcrafting and milling in Inscription) raw materials or from special World Quests. However, these are not guaranteed ways to invest your time. It's rather an additional option to get a bit of this raw material.
There are two main ways in which you can obtain Expulsom:
- Transmutation of raw materials and resources by an alchemist.
- Distribution of objects into the first parts by scrapping
The first option requires the right amount of ingredients, profession and time. It's therefore not effective in any way, but it is a safe alternative for those who care about Expulsom. Besides, it's a perfect way to earn money for alchemists.
The second way is a new feature in the Battle for Azeroth. A system of scrapping items into the first elements has been introduced. This feature works thanks to the Shred-Master Mk1 (Horde) and Scrap-o-Matic 1000 (Alliance). These devices can be found in the major cities in Zandalar and Kul Tiras.
You simply put unnecessary items inside them (only of green or better quality; grey or white labeled items won't be scrapped!), and they'll dissolve the items into raw materials from different professions. As a result, you will lose your equipment, but gain ingredients that you can use. Every item gives a chance that after scrapping it you may get Expulsom.
This is not a high probability rate, but for this reason it's worth to disassemble items into basic parts and resources. It should be noted that trinkets have the highest chance (some claim to be guaranteed) of dropping Expulsom if you scrap them. It doesn't matter how rare or unique they are - as long as they come from the Battle for Azeroth expansion set, they will give you the valuable Expulsom.
