Use the bed

Remain in the motel room and explore it thoroughly, thanks to which you will find new components fir gadgets, as well as another audiolog (Aiden Pierce 05). After you have dealt with everything, interact with the bed (you can set the alarm clock to go off at any hour). Wait for Aiden to wake up (at the same time, you will receive a pistol- Spec Ops 1911) and exit the motel room.

The text message that unlocks a side mission

Before you start the second part of the main mission, you will have to play your first side mission, from the Crimes Detected category. Activate Profiler (the hacking key/button) and scan the people near the motel. At the same time, try to find an opportunity to hack into the telephones of the selected NPCs. After several such hacks, the game displays the conversation window on the screen and you will learn about a crime that is about to take place.

The woman that you will have to protect

Follow the game's suggestions and set the crime site as your destination. Get into any of the cats and go South-East. After you get there, exit the car and use Profiler again, to scan the passers-by in the area. After you scan the woman (her personals are randomly generated) you will be able to determine, with high probability, that she may be victimized by the crime. As a result, saving her will be your priority.

Stand where you can see the alley, but do not approach her, to prevent being spotted. Hack the surveillance camera above that alley and watch the course of the meeting (the above screenshot). Just as expected, the life of the woman that you have just scanned will soon be in danger.

Try to tackle the assailant

Do not wait to see what happens next and close the camera view. Run towards the attacked woman. The assailant will take it to his heels and you need to follow him. If you want to finish this chase quickly, you need to take the criminal down but, it is much better to get sufficiently close to the man and press the melee key/button. After you complete this side mission, listen to the conversation with Nicole Pearce and Jordie Chin. You can now start the second main mission.

Rewards for completing the mission: positive reputation, the quick switch skill, 500 experience points (less if you have killed the criminal)
