Gatekeeper Naglfahr | Bosses in Warhammer Vermintide 2 Warhammer Vermintide 2 Guide and Walkthrough

Gatekeeper Naglfahr is the first boss (Rasknitt being the second) encountered in The Skittergate, the final mission in Warhammer: Vermtintide 2. Complete all three acts to unlock this mission.

The boss' skills and behavior:

1. Gatekeeper Naglfahr is similar to another boss called Bodvarr Ribspreader - he relies on heavy attacks, uses a charge that pushes enemies back and can struck the ground with his axe to cause a shockwave.
2. After losing half of his health, Gatekeeper Naglfahr will turn into a Spawn of Chaos. In this form he can catch one of the party members and deal them damage (this move also replenishes his health).
3. Just like any other boss, Gatekeeper can summon a horde.

Tips and ways of fighting with this boss:

1. Focus on the boss' head when you are facing his first form - the rest of the body is armored which means that you will need a weapon that can penetrate armor.
2. Just like Bodvarr, Naglfahr's first form is slow and he uses powerful attacks. It is better to avoid his strikes instead of blocking them.
3. The transformation into a Spawn of Chaos makes this boss faster. However, he loses his armor (although his weak spot stays the same). A character with the biggest amount of health should focus his attention to allow the rest of the party to attack him from all directions.
