Last update: 02 August 2018

The basis of the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is to complete a mission - you'll be moved to a map where, together with your team, you have to beat a horde of opponents and complete simple tasks. There are three acts in the game - first and third have 4 missions, the second one consists of 5 missions. In the game you will find three acts and in each of the five missions. To start with, you only have three missions to choose from - one for each act, but if you go through a mission, you will not be able to access the next one.

This chapter of the guide consists of the following topics:

How to start a mission?

To start the mission, use the appropriate keyboard shortcut or go directly to the map in the fortress where you begin the game.

You will see the above window - Starting Missions in Warhammer Vermintide 2 - Basics - Warhammer Vermintide 2 Game Guide

You will see the above window. Now you can decide how you want to start the game:

  1. Quick Play - this is the simplest and quickest way to start playing. You select only the difficulty level and then the game automatically assigns you to a random mission and team. It's worth to know that playing quick games will get you reward chests of much higher quality.
  2. Custom Game - in this mode you can select the level of difficulty as well as the mission played. In addition, you can select a search for a lobby where the game has not yet started, or create your own lobby where you can invite friends or play with bots.
  3. Heroic Deed - you can play this mode with your friends or bots. Heroic deeds result in more enemies on the map and your team takes more damage. The prize for the task is a chest with arms and equipment.
  4. Lobby Browser - in addition to the above options, you can also use the browser. You will see the waiting rooms available and be able to join one of them.
