This short chapter is devoted entirely to Alad V - the boss of Corpus in Warframe. Here, you will learn where to find him, what you can receive for defeating him and how to defeat him.

You encounter Alad V on Jupiter - Themisto. In fact, you will also fight with his companion - Zanuka, and the battle comprises two phases - Shielded Phase and Health Phase.

Alad V, during the entire phase, will avoid fighting you, as he does not have any attacks - Zanuka will do all the dirty work. Alad has several defensive abilities, such as electric shield, ring of fire, which will knock you back, as soon as you come closer, and blinding light. Zanuka has 5 abilities: homing missiles, frost bombs (they slow you down and impose frost effect on you), Dispel Bomb, which strips you a random positive effect - e.g. Rhino's fourth ability), antimatter orb (he uses it only when he wants to stand up Alad V) and standing Alad up (Zanuka drops his shields completely).

Your task in the armor phase is to destroy Alad V's shield (in his humanoid form). In this phase, you will be practically unable to deal damage to Zanuka. Avoid Zanuka and get Alad. Make sure that you do not deal damage from toxic derivatives - this type of damage ignores the shield and drain health, which may be a handicap, while you are fighting Zanuka.

Health phase starts after you have destroyed Alad V's shield. This is when Zanuka, in an attempt to save Alad's life, sacrifices his shield. You can try to defeat Zanuka first and then Alad. As long as Zanuka lives, he will be trying to protect Alad, which may make the fight longer. If you deal with Alad first, Zanuka will rush to his aid and restore some of his shield, which gets you back to phase one.

For defeating the boss, you will be rewarded with blueprints of Valkyr components. Alad V may also drop mods: Intensify, Vitality, Slip Magazine, Gunslinger, Heated Charge, Quickdraw.
