This short chapter is devoted entirely the Infested Alad V - boss of the Infested in Warframe. Here, you will learn where to find him, what you can receive for defeating him and how to defeat him.

This boss has been seized by the Infested. You will find him on Eris aboard the Infested. To fight with him, you require a key (you will receive key blueprints for Patient Zero mission, but you can also receive it from the Infested mission - Infested Invasion or Orokin Derelict Survival/Defense.

The boss is armed with Paracyst, which fires in short bursts, deals high toxicity damage, ignores the shield (also, it can deal corrosive damage. He has a nanite aura, which will start dealing damage, once you come too close. He can remove his collar, and put it on the ground to form Infested Barrier. You can penetrate it, if only your gun has sufficiently high penetration level (Punch Through). When the barrier is active, he will try to fire projectiles dealing radiation damage. Do not approach too close to the barrier, or Alad will reload it and it will explode. After he has removed his collar, he can also fire electricity rays and deal very high damage - when you are out of reach or when Alad takes enough damage, he will stop firing electricity. His collar has one more property - if tossed at a player, it can seize him - the player will then attack his own (if you are playing single, the collar will simply explode in your face. You can dodge the collar toss by pressing 2x Shift (by default) at the last moment before the collar connects. If you are playing as Nyx, you can counter the attack with the third ability.

Alad V is completely invulnerable to damage, as long as he does not remove his collar and attempts to attack. When he wants to attack, or seize control, coordinate attacks with your companions. While playing with your friends, avoid taking along a strong weapon - when Alad seizes your character, he can kill the entire squad. Thanks to Valkyr's and Loki's abilities, you will deal with the boss easily (hysteria/invisibility).

For defeating the boss, you will be rewarded with blueprints components of Mesa. May also drop mods: Intensify, Vitality, Slip Magazine, Gunslinger, Heated Charge, Quickdraw.
