In this chapter you will learn what are the types of missions in Warframe. There are activities in Warframe other than Alarms and Sortie. There are 19 types of missions in the game (one of which is PvP - Arena).

Assassination
This mission type is very simple and it focuses on killing a specific target. Usually the target is a Boss. Each planet features one mission like that. These missions are very popular since Bosses are the source of blueprints and rare resources.
Assault
These are special missions, a variation of sabotage mission available only at Kuva Fortress. It is available after finishing the War Within mission. It consists of a few parts: getting through the gate, finding and deactivating 3 turrets, getting into the base and unloading the turret to the nearby galleon.
Capture
Here you must capture a specific opponent and escape from the mission area. A very fast mission. The target moves faster than a Warframe and it can use tricks to escape more effectively (for example he can use smoke).
Defection
In these missions, you must escort people to the evacuation point during an attack of infected. Each Defection mission takes place in Dark Sector.
Defense
These missions require the player to defend a specific place. Every 5 waves of opponents you can select whether you want to stay or continue the fight (every 5 waves you also receive a reward). Each new wave is stronger than the previous one.
Excavation
During this mission you must look for a place to gather resources and then perform the gathering. From time to time you must power up the excavation with power Cells obtained from enemies. In addition to resources, you receive a reward for each successful excavation (instead of receiving reward every 5 minutes like in survival mode).
Exterminate
In these fast missions you must kill specific number of enemies. Useful for gaining Focus points.
Hijack
In this mission, you must steal a large vehicle. Moving the vehicle is possible only if the player has a shield. Once the shield drops to zero, the vehicle stops moving.
Infested Salvage
Never ending mission during which you must use consoles to get manifesto from the ship. When a round ends, the player can decide whether he or she plans to stay or continue the fight.
Interception
In these missions, you must hold specific places and obtain 100% control over a map before the enemy does it.
Junction
Solo missions in which you unlock access to other planets. Each junction requires specific objectives to be met in order to unlock planet. To complete the mission you must defeat a Warframe clone.
Mobile defense
You must intercept data from console with a device dragged by Warframe. Each time the device must be transported and then the console must be protected from the attacks of enemies.
Pursuit
A mission in space in Archwing. You must quickly find enemy ship, destroy it and obtain the black box.
Rescue
In these missions you must free a hostage and escort him to evacuation point. It is best to play part of these missions silently. If you alarm the enemies, a counter will start and you will have limited time until the enemy kills the hostage.
Sabotage
In sabotage missions you must find and destroy specific object. It can be done very quickly.
Spy
You must quietly extract data from 3 servers. When you alarm the enemies, a time limit will start until the data is destroyed and you fail the mission.
Survival
An "endless" mission. You must keep repelling enemy attacks. What's more, your oxygen supplies will be running out. You can collect capsules from enemies or stationary oxygen capsules send to some places. You receive a reward for every 5 minutes of combat. After 5 minutes you can leave the mission.
